Book No. 1 - And Can It Be
My first book, And Can It Be, was first published in 2009. I revised it in 2012 and changed the cover. In this book, you will read about Brenda Matthews and how she overcame many obstacles to achieve her dreams. Placed with uncaring foster parents and with only her mother's Bible to comfort her, she reaches for her goal. Can she succeed even when a possessed person is out to destroy her? Will she find her beloved sister? Read about the trying events that lead to a beautiful romance. Travel with Brenda on her journey from the splendor of the Rocky Mountains to the glamour and sights of New York City and Seattle, ending with a magical night in Victoria, B.C. This is an exciting story of trials, miracles and forgiveness.
Book No. 2 - Shelter In The Storm
Shelter in the Storm was published in 2012 and features Sarah Jordan, Brenda's college roommate. Some of the other characters in the first book make an appearance from time to time. When Sarah inherits a beach house on lovely Dauphin Island in Mobile, Alabama, she never dreamed how her life would change. She learns many surprising life lessons as she encounters romance, mystery, danger and travel. Finally, Sarah is caught up in a dream world that ends in a fairy tale wedding in the rose garden of unique Fairhope, Alabama.
Book No 3 - Count Your Blessings
Count Your Blessings was published in 2013 and is about the children of the characters in the first two books. Joanna Havard's parents want her to become a concert pianist, but she feels led to work with special needs students. Suddenly everything changes when her mother is badly burned in a house fire. Joanna thinks someone set the fire to get even with her. She turns to her childhood friend, Jesse Matthews for support. He longs to win her heart. A vacation to Gulf Shores in Mobile, Alabama ends in terror and tests Joanna's faith. Joanna keeps a gratitude journal, and throughout her trials she discovers hidden blessings.
Book No. 4 - Unclouded Day
Unclouded Day, my first historical novel, was published in March of 2014. Based on my mother's journal, it takes place in the Roaring Twenties on a farm in Franklin, Tennessee. . . a story of family, loss, love and betrayal set against the backdrop of model T. cars, talking movies, flappers and fun times.
So glad you took the time to visit my website. I am an avid reader, and have always wanted to write a book, so one day I sat down and researched everything I could find on how to write a novel. Then, I bought books on writing. Pretty soon, I decided to just get started. I knew I loved the rags to riches stories, how someone starts out with nothing and becomes a great success. That is basically how my first Christian novel "And Can It Be" came about. Browse through my pages (http://www.amazon.com/author/normadanzey) and check out my characters as they continue through the next two books. Then see how I switched from contemporary to historical in one smooth move. Enjoy!
